Late in life his son Harold made a lake on his property and Bob and Mary ran a fishing lake. Mary would make dough balls and they had snacks to sell. Mary also loved flowers. She had rows and rows of iris. Aunt Ruth lived with them and looked after them. They had eight living children. There were twins that died prematurely at birth.
Uncle Jim ran a news stand and always brought a truck full of comic books for the kids to the Johnson Family Reunion.
